Position Overview

Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join their team in North Carolina. This position involves supporting the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and assisting with month-end and year-end close processes. Responsibilities

• Support daily accounting operations to ensure accuracy in financial transactions and reporting.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports, providing insights and recommendations as needed.
• Collaborate with other team members to improve accounting processes and systems.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting standards and regulations.
• Assist in preparing for audits and work closely with auditors to provide necessary documentation and information.
• Support other accounting projects and tasks as assigned by the management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Staff Accountant or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Required Work Hours

Monday to Friday, first shift.
